Greenway Farm - Home page
Welcome to Greenway, a traditional Victorian farmhouse set in eight acres of land just outside Wembdon, near Bridgwater in Somerset!
Martin and Sue moved to Greenway in June 2005, bringing with them 3 children, one dog and 3 cats. Since then the 'flock' has grown to include three ponies, seven geese, 50 hens, two ewes, seven piglets and a Jack Russell! Feeding them all takes a good half hour morning and night, but they provide the entire family with hours of entertainment and - in the case of the farm animals - free-range eggs and meat.

It would be wonderful to enjoy the life at Greenway all day long, but there simply isn't enough land to generate a living from farming alone. So, we both have full-time jobs and fit our farm activities around them - hosting weddings and parties, rearing and selling rare-breed, free-range pork, sausages & pies, making chutneys & jams, catering for parties & dinners and teaching cookery & crafts.
As of 24 August 2011 we are also a Certificated Location for The Caravan Club, which enables us to welcome up to five touring caravans, motor caravans or trailer tents (all of whom must be members of The Caravan Club) for stays of up to 28 nights. Positioned close as we are to the Quantock Hills and the tourist attractions of Nether Stowey, Dunster, Minehead and Exmoor, and with the annual Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival in early November, we hope to be meeting lots of new people in the very near future!
As the recession bites deeper and people are forced to move away from the acquisition of material things, they're starting to re-discover the beauty of nature and her harvests. Here at Greenway we aim to bring a taste of our rich farming and cider-making heritage to a wider audience and hope that you will find something on these pages that tempts you to find out more.
